Licensing & ownership.
Your business should feel like yours. Here is what a standard Center Point Labs software purchase includes—and what stays separate.
Standard policy · Effective September 12, 2026- Your content, branding, and customer data remain yours.
- You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive license for one customer site.
- You may modify your delivered software copy or have another developer maintain it.
- CPL retains the reusable software behind the product.
- 30 days of bug-fix support are included from handoff. Hosting, outside services, and ongoing maintenance are separate.
A permanent license for your site
Once the agreed purchase price is paid, you may use the purchased version of the software indefinitely for one customer website, including commercial use. “Non-exclusive” means CPL can also license the same underlying software to other customers. It does not give anyone else rights to your content or branding. There is no recurring CPL license fee to keep using that purchased version; running the site still requires hosting and any services it depends on.
Your content stays yours
You retain ownership of the content, photographs, branding, catalog, and customer data you provide or lawfully collect. Register your domain in your own name or business. Buying CPL software does not transfer rights to photographs, brands, or sample content shown in a demo.
You can adapt your copy
You may modify the software delivered for your site and let a developer or hosting provider work on it for you. Source-code handoff, account access, deployment, and data-export arrangements are identified in your project scope before purchase. A license is not an exclusive copyright transfer of the underlying engine.
What CPL retains
CPL retains its reusable code, components, templates, and underlying product technology. The standard license does not permit repackaging, redistributing, sublicensing, or reselling that software as a standalone or competing product. Additional customer sites require their own license or a written agreement. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
Clear costs and scope
Your written quote identifies the deliverables, setup, and included assistance. Domain registration, hosting, storage, payment processing, and other third-party services are separate unless explicitly included. A perpetual license does not mean lifetime hosting, unlimited support, or all future upgrades. Any maintenance, updates, extra galleries, or team-seat entitlements are stated in the package or project agreement before purchase.
30 days of included bug-fix support
Every paid software package and custom build includes 30 days of bug-fix support from handoff. If something in the agreed scope isn’t working as delivered, report it during that period and Center Point Labs will correct it at no additional charge. Issues reported within the window remain covered until resolved.
A bug means an agreed feature does not work as delivered—not a new feature, design change, or expanded scope. Problems caused by later modifications or third-party changes are assessed and scoped separately; unrelated modifications do not exclude an otherwise covered defect.
We aim to acknowledge reports within two business days. This is a response target, not a guaranteed resolution time; timing depends on the issue. Send reports to ndsosa@icloud.com with the affected page, what happened, and steps to reproduce it. Ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and support beyond this coverage are available separately.
Custom work, transfers & full-project purchases
Exclusive ownership, a full-project acquisition, resale rights, or a transfer to a new owner can be arranged separately in writing. In particular, the Hill Country Home Help complete-project offer is an acquisition, not a standard one-site package; its domain, code, assets, and transfer rights will be itemized in its sale agreement. Custom-project ownership is also defined in the written scope rather than assumed from a package price.
No surprises before you commit
This is CPL’s standard licensing and ownership policy, not a complete project contract. A specific written agreement can provide different rights and takes precedence for that project. Existing agreements are not changed by this page. Before you buy, we confirm what you receive, what it costs, and which terms apply.
